About — the long-form YouTube niche radar — Viddar.io
Last updated: 2026-07-17
Viddar is a YouTube niche radar built for long-form creators. It's made by a small, independent team based in Vietnam — no loud funding rounds, just one job done well: help you find room-left niches using real data instead of gut feel.
Why Viddar exists
Most creators pick a niche on gut feel — they see one viral video, see a niche trending on social media, and jump in, usually after hundreds of channels already have. We wanted a different starting point: look at real numbers across millions of long-form channels, and find the niches that are still thin but already growing, before they hit the headlines.
Viddar grew out of that need. It isn't a side feature bolted onto some broader SEO suite — it's built from the ground up to answer one question: is this niche still worth the work?
Who is behind Viddar
Viddar is built and run by Minhvux, who also writes the posts on this blog under his own name.
Every figure in those posts comes straight out of Viddar's own database — the same crawler he wrote and runs daily. When a post says "34.6% of channels under a year old", that number came from a query against this database, and the post states which group of channels it was measured on.
If a number looks wrong or a conclusion doesn't hold up, write to admin@viddar.io. The post gets corrected and the correction date goes on it.
How the data actually works
Viddar runs its own crawler instead of relying on the YouTube Data API, so we're never bottlenecked by quota keys. That crawler runs millions of channel scans every day, refreshing subscribers, views, upload cadence, and monetization status.
Instead of a plain average — easily skewed by one freak viral video — Viddar computes VSR (views-per-subscriber) as a median, and benchmarks it against channel age, so a 3-month-old channel isn't unfairly compared to a 3-year-old one.
We'll say it plainly: every number on Viddar is a signal, not a guarantee. Viddar narrows down which niches are worth digging into using data — the final call is still yours.
How big the dataset is
As of 26 July 2026, Viddar tracks 20,253,531 YouTube channels. Of those, 10,252,552 are confirmed long-form channels, 2,773,836 post short videos only, and 7,227,143 have not yet been scanned deeply enough to classify.
That figure moves every day — the crawler never stops — so read it as a snapshot taken on the date above, not a constant. When you see a smaller number quoted somewhere in the blog, it is almost always a group inside the library rather than the library itself: channels that already have a revenue estimate, say, or channels created in the last twelve months. We name the group rather than letting the number stand alone as if it were the whole thing.
Some things we cannot measure, and we would rather say so: a channel's actual payout (we estimate from public data), private or unlisted videos, anyone else's YouTube Studio, and channels the crawler has simply never come across.
What Viddar is today
Right now Viddar centers on two tools. Niche Hunter lets you filter and search channels by median VSR, channel age, growth velocity, monetization status, and a combined opportunity score. Saved channels let you bookmark the ones you're tracking, group them, add private notes, and get priority re-scans every 6 hours that show growth deltas since you saved them.
If you're new, there's a guide video recorded on the real product plus a blog at viddar.io/en/guide.
- Niche Hunter — filters for views per subscriber, channel age, and growth speed
- Saved channels — grouping, private notes, priority re-scans every 6 hours
- Guide video + blog: viddar.io/en/guide
Contact & team
Viddar is run by a small team based in Vietnam. Questions, feedback, or a bug you've hit — email admin@viddar.io or drop into the support group, and a real person answers, not a chatbot loop.
On the money side: PRO is a standard SaaS subscription via PayPal — it renews at the same price each cycle, you can cancel anytime in one click, and access always runs to the end of what you've paid for. (In Vietnam, plans are paid by manual bank transfer instead — nothing is ever charged automatically.)
